Come visit us soon.

This night time picture of the pub was taken by a customer on an evening boat trip here. The lights reflecting on the water make a great sight and there is plenty of good food and drink when you get here.
We very often see boat trips from Chepstow mooring outside the pub so that passengers can enjoy their choice from our extensive menu and a few drinks before taking the tide back. Tide timetables are always available in the bar, so give us a call or click in the header of any page to send us an email and we can tell you when the tide times will be right for taking such a trip.

Even though the weather is going to start getting colder soon, don`t worry because we still have plenty of sunshine to enjoy while this month is with us. The Wye Valley is particularly pleasant this time of year and, as the Rose and Crown is situated right on the River Wye. The tranquil water drifts by while you enjoy the warm welcome of the pub.
Autumn is a time for exquisite colours, for brightness yet warmth, for that much needed break or that timely evening out. The Rose and Crown offer B&B and a delicious menu serving evening meals as well as just about every drink you can imagine. Sally's warm personality ensures nobody is left out in the cold so get yourself booked in for a break soon.
Regular customers enjoy a professional yet friendly service so if, like them, you prefer to deal with a character-filled pub that hosts history and gastronomy in abundance, get in touch now to books that special weekend or evening out.
You know you deserve it.

Hills, fields and vineyards surround our pub, and you can see the old railway bridge that used to carry the products from Tintern's iron works back in the days of steam.
The next thing downriver from there is Tintern Abbey, a world famous ruin from the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII. Everywhere around here you will find history, from civil war sites to shipbuilding levees.
It is not hard to see why this is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Come and look for yourself. Better still, stay a while, sit overlooking the river and enjoy local beer and food with great service and a great welcome.

If you are visiting the Wye Valley, you will find stunning views wherever you go. The outside seating area of the Rose & Crown, Tintern is no exception. Overlooking the river, you can eat and drink while taking in the views, if you are lucky, our local otters or perhaps even a seal will put in an appearance.
